“I used to be in an institution in the city. Now I have my own home thanks to Lexington. I can do what I want and go where I want.
My bedroom is really nice and I like hanging out in the living room.” — Ihesha
Since we began to provide residential supports in the early 1970s, Lexington has consistently been the agency of choice for Fulton, Schoharie and Albany Counties families as well as hundreds of families and advocates from across New York State and beyond. The level and range of supports provided within Lexington’s residential programs is much more diverse than most other service providers and similar organizations. Residential supports are provided to close to well over 500 people in a variety of community settings throughout Fulton, Albany and Schoharie Counties.
Residential opportunities are individualized to meet the needs and desires of the person supported and include: homes with 24-hour live-in support, supported apartments with daily or less frequent visits, homes with 24-hour medical support for persons who are frail due to age or medical condition, living with a family in the community and homes for children, men, women and seniors.
Lexington’s residential program supports a person in all aspects of their life and our caring staff is committed to helping those we support realize their hopes, dreams and aspirations.
